Let's Drink ~ Let's Eat ~ Let's Dance!

We moved just downstairs from the ceremony room to another ballroom at the Mermaid for the reception.  It was an awesome room and pretty much the entire reason I wanted to book the Mermaid.  It was an evening that I will never forget.  It was so much fun to just relax with my husband and celebrate with friends and family.

We've arrived...Now let's mingle!

Let's have some cake...and eat it too!

Our best man gave a great speech...it included calling Russ out as a trouble maker!  HA HA!  It was awesome.

Then my sister...made me cry and then laugh.  She even sent out e-mails to some of our guests and read to us some of the words those guests used to describe us.  It was really touching.

Then my husband toasted me.  He was so sweet, and funny...
And I got in on the action...Making sure to thank those important people.

Then the glass clinking started...I secretly enjoyed it!

Time To Dance!!!

Russ and I danced our first dance to Snow Patrol's "Chasing Cars".  It was so perfect for us and this dance was a moment that I will truly never forget.

Mother/Daughter dance!  My dad passed away in 2003, so...not only did my mom walk me down the aisle, we did a mother/daughter dance.  The best and most amazing part about our dance was the song.  When I was growing up, my dad was in a band and would often record some of their sessions.  Well, thanks to my DOC...I was put in contact with a man that was able to pull one of the few songs that my dad ever sang with the band and he put it on cd.  We were then able to play that song for our mother/daughter dance.  It was amazing and emotional to dance to the sound of my father's voice.  Also, about two-thirds of the way through the song, we pulled my sister onto the floor to join us in the dance.
The Song: "Walk of Life"

Partway through the dancing, the bridesmaids grabbed some trays and started passing out the suckers I'd had made.  They are snowflake shaped and cheesecake flavored!  They were delicious and fun and I know the kids loved them!!!!
